Connecting your Gateway account

Store your Government Gateway login once, securely encrypted, so tasks can sign in to HMRC on your behalf.

   Open Settings → Gateway

   From the dashboard, open Settings and choose the Gateway tab. This is where your HMRC agent sign-in lives - you only need to set it once.

   Enter your Government Gateway sign-in

   Type the user ID and password you normally use to sign in to your HMRC agent account. They are securely encrypted and only ever used to sign in to HMRC when you run a task.

   Add a second account if you need one

   If you act under more than one agent account, add the additional accounts in the same Gateway tab and switch between them when you run tasks.

   You are ready to run tasks

   Once saved, the session indicator in the sidebar shows you are connected. From here you can enter a client UTR and run your first task.
